What is the CATS van pool?
Now anyone who lives or works in Cherokee County has another way to get to work. A van pool is a group of commuters who are "ride-matched" by home and work location into a group and who travel in a van furnished by CATS. You'll join with friends, neighbors and co-workers the van driver [a volunteer and fellow commuter] at a parking lot near your home and are driven directly to work. New or late model vans are provided by VPSI Commuter Van Pools along with full maintenance, insurance, and backup services.

What other rewards are offered the volunteer drivers?
After their records are carefully checked and approved by VPSI, volunteer drivers are given personal use of the van on nights and weekends with certain limitations.

Enjoy the Ride, Get Some Work Done or Spend Some "Me Time"
You'll spend more of your time relaxing and less time worrying about battling traffic. You can prepare for your day, read a book or talk to your friends. You might even be more relaxed when you get home!
Be Part of the Solution
Atlanta's traffic is some of the worst in America. Commuters who travel downtown will take advantage of the HOV lanes, and as the number of available lanes expand, van pools will enjoy even shorter commute times. Also, van pooling is a great way to take cars off of the highways and help reduce pollution.
